Springco was established in 1954. Springco can design and manufacture all types of springs for almost any application. Springco manufacture and supply compression, tension, torsion, flat springs, wire forms as well as a wide range of miscellaneous springs in exotic metals specialising in nickel and cobalt alloys. Their wide customer base includes aerospace and space, offshore and sub-sea industries, medical, defence, valve manufacturing, renewable, power and nuclear sectors plus general engineering.
Springco has Space Heritage. It’s products and springs are currently being used in:
• PEGASUS Satellite Programme – Operating since 1990
• HGAS actuator for the JPL CURIOSITY ROVER – Currently on Mars
• GAIA Mission charting 3D map of the Milky Way Galaxy – Launched in 2013
• BEPICOLOMBO MERCURY MAGNETOSPHERIC ORBITER Mission – Currently passing Mercury
• SOLAR ORBITER – Boom arm release mechanism – Currently passing the Sun
• JUICE Mission to Jupiter – Launching in 2023.
