Saleem Miyan is CEO – at Max Space, headquartered in Houston, TX.
His early corporate career was with Philips Electronics where, during his 8 years tenure he headed Philips Seminconductors’ (now NXP) international IoT unit (RFID, NFC and Smartcard chip business’). He closed off his time at Philips Amsterdan running a division of their Global Strategic Alliances where he worked on numerous award-winning innovations with global industry allies.
He went on to join the Board of Checkpoint Systems Inc. (NYSE:CKPT) in New Jersey, USA where he was responsible for the groups international growth and acquisitions. He went on to start up a new disruptive technology business which developed an industrial tracking and GPS/Satellite monitoring solution and, after winning a prestigious contract with the US DoD, the company’s IP and licenses were acquired by Savi, a Lockheed Martin Corporation company. He was appointed to the Board of Digicore International a South African public company, one of the largest pioneers in vehicle, fleet and high value asset tracking. After successfully developing their growth across international territories and leading three acquisitions, the company was acquired by Novatel Wireless based out of San Diego, California.
Saleem was an executive board director of a Jordanian Investment fund, operating as an investor and as a non-exec director for their portfolio of high-tech startup businesses. He was on the Board of a large UK automotive insurance underwriter where he was responsible for over 1200 members of staff across 5 operating companies. Under his stewardship, the Company was awarded a top 15 position in the ‘Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For’, three years running.
Saleem has spoken at and chaired numerous worldwide conferences, analyst briefings, conducted live TV interviews and interviewed for a number of international technology documentaries. He has presented to over 50 Congressmen and President Obama’s government officials at The White House. In addition to this he has also written articles and whitepapers and is a recognized speaker at conferences around the world on patented technology development, mission critical deployments and new disruptive technologies.
