Dr Clayson is the CTO and co-founder of Magdrive who are revolutionising spacecraft propulsion with a next-generation technology. Their high power electric plasma thruster combines high manoeuvrability and high efficiency, with a low mass, which will unlock new capabilities in space operations. Thomas is a plasma physicist and pulsed power engineer of Imperial College London. He leads Magdrive’s team of engineers and scientists in power electronics, rapid prototyping, and plasma physics.
