Speaker profile

Bruno started working in space back in 2005 when he moved to France, to work on the Herschel and Planck program at Thales Alenia Space.

In 2007, back in Portugal, joined CRITICAL Software, as Business Development Manager, where he was responsible for the strategy and for driving the internal competence creation for the company to strive in the space market.

Bruno relocated to the UK in 2011, as Business Development Manager at SCISYS (meanwhile acquired by CGI).

In June 2017, Bruno founded Ilex Space, providing strategic business consultancy in the Space market in Europe.

After helping establish D-Orbit in the UK, Bruno joined D-Orbit in Lisbon, in June 2019, as Managing Director, until April 2024.

Ilex Space is one of the founding members of the Atlantic Spaceport Consortium aiming at providing launch services from the Azores, an effort that Bruno is leading as CEO.
