Robyn Burman is a Space Regulatory Policy Specialist at the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), where she has been instrumental in shaping the UK’s spaceflight regulatory framework. With a strong background in environmental protection within Earth’s atmosphere, Robyn now plays a key role in the Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) Sandbox, a pioneering initiative collaborating with government and industry to tackle regulatory challenges for RPO missions. This work supports the UK’s ambition to lead in this emerging technology, fostering innovation while ensuring safety and sustainability.

Before joining the CAA, Robyn worked at the UK Space Agency, leading on environmental policy and licensing requirements under the Space Industry Act 2018, supporting the UK’s growing spaceflight sector.
