Speaker profile

Steven joined the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) in October 2024 as Head of Business Development & Strategy, supporting the development and execution of its strategic growth plan.

A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, he brings 25 years of experience from Rolls-Royce, where he led global manufacturing programmes in solid-state welding, advanced tooling, and smart fixturing technologies. For 12 years, Steven was based at NMIS’s Advanced Forming Research Centre as Rolls-Royce partnership manager, coordinating global materials forming and forging capability development.
