Speaker profile

Mark works in Deloitte’s Risk, Resilience, Crisis & Reputation team, advising clients across the whole of the Risk and Resilience life cycle. Mark has over 16 years’ experience in resilience, crisis management and business continuity, as a senior leader in the centre of the UK Government. Mark has lead collaboration with the private sector and Governments to improve resilience and response to essential service disruption and developing regulations for effective long-term industry technical recovery strategies.
Mark’s experience includes managing live response for the UK government and NATO to a range of risks, including cyber-attack, Covid-19, EU Exit and the war in Ukraine. He was the Senior Risk Owner for a number of the UK’S Catastrophic risks, including for Severe Space Weather.
Mark has an undergraduate degree in International Relations & Politics from the University of Essex, and Masters degrees in Intelligence & International Security from King’s College London, Terrorism Studies from the University of St Andrews, and Military History from the University of Wolverhampton.
