Speaker profile

John Auburn, Chief Strategy Officer and Member of the Board at ReOrbit, has 40 years of professional experience within the space industry, initially as a Flight Dynamicist at the European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt. He has held Director level roles at SCISYS, VEGA and Telespazio Group.

In 2006, John was appointed Chairman of UKspace (the UK’s industry trade association), and during that time played a major role in bringing the European Space Agency to Harwell and setting up the International Space Innovation Centre (ISIC) which latterly was merged into the Satellite Applications Catapult.

Before joining ReOrbit, John served as Managing Director of Astroscale UK, responsible for the strategic direction of the UK’s activities as well as Astroscale’s global business development.

At ReOrbit, John works closely with CEO & Founder, Sethu Saveda Suvanam, to implement strategies that drive ReOrbit’s growth, enhance its competitiveness, and address the challenges and drivers of the space sector.
