Eric Crusius is the chair of Hunton Andrews Kurth’s government contracts practice and specializes in representing companies doing business with the US federal government (and suppliers to those companies) around the world including in matters related to cybersecurity requirements unique to the government contracting space.
Mr. Crusius has extensive experience in government contract litigation, including successfully prosecuting and intervening in numerous bid protest before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Government Accountability Office, boards of contract appeals and other federal agencies.
Besides helping contractors through an array of government contracting compliance and litigation issues, Eric provides strategic and practical advice to contractors with various issues connected with cybersecurity and privacy in the government contracting space. Among other things, Eric counsels clients on obligations in the FAR (such as FAR 52.204-21) and agency-specific requirements from the US Department of Defense, the US Department of Homeland Security, US Department of Veterans Affairs and others including the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program. Eric also guides companies through incident responses and litigation connected with cybersecurity incidents including potential ramifications under the False Claims Act (FCA). He is a thought leader in this space having appeared on Government Matters, Federal News Network and featured at conferences to provide his insight with respect to these emerging issues.
