With a background in physics and a lifetime fascination with all things space from both a business and research perspective, Dr. Nicholas Ross holds a PhD in Astrophysics along with an LLM in Law (Space Law).

Leveraging over 20 years of experience at the academic-government-industry interface across the global space sector including working for the US Department of Energy (DOE) and holding the prestigious STFC Ernest Rutherford Senior Fellowship, Nic offers a unique perspective on space exploration, regulations and sustainability, bridging business and academia.

His research background spans diverse topics including international space law ethics, space science, observational astrophsyics and cosmology and culminates in a particular focus on space sustainability and the long-term utilisation of our Solar System. This includes planetary defence where Nic has written extensively on the subject, including on the NASA NEO Surveyor mission, as well as the ethical and legal implications of planetary defence missions and efforts.

With start-up experience forged in Silicon Valley, Nic works with clients across the value chain and in size ranging from sole-traders and SMEs through to world-leading universities and multinational Space Agencies
