Daniel Perez Grande has been dreaming about rockets, and the places we’d reach through them, since he was very young. His passion for everything geek and, in particular, for science-fiction (and the real science behind it), propelled him to become an Aerospace Engineer (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) and, years later, to obtain a PhD in Plasma Physics and Nuclear Fusion (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid).

Today, he’s the founder and CEO of ienai SPACE, a young startup focused on providing the smallest satellites with their own rocket engines: it is Spain’s first in-space propulsion commercial company. He dedicates his time to carrying out scientific outreach related to space sciences and is passionate about creative communities: he’s co-organizer for AI Saturdays Madrid, a non-profit focused on the dissemination of AI related knowledge, and of the NASA SpaceApps Challenge Madrid, the local edition of the world’s largest Hackathon event (and, to our knowledge, the Universe’s largest).
