David is Director of Strategic Navigation Programmes at Viasat where he is leading SBAS and PNTrelated
developments. His experience in the European and North American aerospace sectors
stretches back to the early 1990s, having worked on commercial space telecommunications, space
applications, and human spaceflight programmes. David has been involved in SBAS systems for air
navigation applications since the mid-1990s, having worked client-side on the EGNOS and GALILEO
programmes. His professional capabilities and interests are centred in the areas of strategic
innovation, technology transfer, and strategy formulation & implementation. He has a Ph.D. in Space
Physics from University of Kent, United Kingdom.
