Why European Space Needs Its Emerging Ecosystems?

Europe is a unique regional space ecosystem. Thanks to both the ESA and the EU, it has the advantage of unprecedented connectivity among its industrial actors. A collaboration framework enabling countries to pool talent, know-how, and resources together to pursue common goals. At the same time, no other region in the world has so many emerging space ecosystems within developed economies offering well-established R&D institutions with relevant expertise, strong STEM education centers ready to prepare a new talent base, and high-tech companies capable of bringing their know-how to space. Efficiently unlocking and integrating this untapped potential will support the growth of the emerging space ecosystems of Europe, creating demand for increased investment, and demand for space in general.
This session will discuss the importance of strengthening collaboration between the well-established industry and emerging space ecosystems of European space with a particular focus on the European Space Ecosystem Integration Summit – a new platform that has played a key role in this area for the past two years.
