Founded in 2011, D-Orbit manufactures and operates ION Satellite Carrier, a proprietary OTV that can transport satellites in orbit and release them into distinct orbits, reducing the time from launch to operations, and the overall launch costs. ION can also accommodate multiple third-party payloads, as well as be rented for edge computing and space cloud services.
D-Orbit has offices in Italy, Portugal, the UK, and a recently established US-based joint venture dedicated to bus design, manufacturing, and commercialization.
