Speaker profile

Luca is the Geospatial Lead at Innovate UK Business Connect, where he has spent over a decade designing and delivering programmes that support the UK space and geospatial community. His work focuses on helping businesses commercialise Earth Observation and geospatial applications, develop sustainable business models, secure funding, and establish strategic partnerships.

Before joining Innovate UK, Luca founded and led Shallow Waters, a mission-driven social enterprise focused on marine conservation, and worked as a data scientist at the University of Leeds. He has been actively involved in initiatives at the intersection of finance, climate, nature, and geospatial intelligence, including contributions to the World Economic Forum EO initiative and the UN Science Policy Business Forum.
