Working as the Technical Programme and Delivery Manager for The Scotland 5G Centre
since November 2021. Jack works closely with service providers, MNO’s and vendors to
ensure that the Centre is operating at the cutting edge of 5G Technology.
Designing and operating innovative Use Cases for a multitude of sector leaders across the
UK, articulating the opportunity that 5G brings and creating something tangible for
businesses to adopt.
From his involvement in the DCMS funded Worcestershire 5G testbed which began in 2018
until joining the Scotland 5G Centre, Jack managed the technical deployment of various 5G
Private Networks, including the first Nokia NDAC 5G Stand Alone solution into The MTC
(Coventry) and the commercial Spectrum Broadcast of an Ericsson Outdoor 5G Private
Network for the Rural Connected Communities Project. Working with NHS Partners and
Manufacturing Specialists to conduct bespoke Use Case Testing.
Since then, Jack has deployed 7 further Stand Alone 5G Private Networks across Scotland,
provided by Nokia, Ericsson, Celona, Athonet and Attocore. Integrated both CPE and Mobile
Handset Devices onto the networks and overseen the development of many 5G Use Cases.
