PANEL: Space Sovereignty: Perspectives on the Future of the global space governance

As the space sector evolves to become more commercialised and our dependency on space grows, there is an urgent need to protect the integrity of space assets and the world’s critical infrastructure. While nations across the globe continue to invest in building their own sovereign space capabilities, it has become essential to define sovereignty in the global context and discuss the implications of sovereign capabilities on global economic development and international security. This session brings the global defence leaders on one platform to share their insights on the approach that needs to be adopted to ensure the safety of our space systems and how to navigate through this increasingly competitive and complex landscape while safeguarding peaceful use of outer space through international cooperation.

  • Moderator: Andrew Stanniland, Vice President Space, ADS Group
  • Aviv Kanelbaum, Head of Business Development and Marketing, Israel Aerospace Industry
  • Troy Brashear, Vice President, National Security Systems, Northrop Grumman Space Systems
  • Geoff McBride,
